Graeme Stening was investigated after the woman accused him of rape but no charges were brought The woman, seen with her underwear around her ankles, had accepted a caution for outraging public decency when they were both arrested. But six weeks later she claimed she was drunk and could not have consented to sex so, as an alleged victim, she could not be identified. And Scotland Yard has now confirmed her caution, where a suspect admits a criminal offence and accepts a police warning, had been “expunged” from her record.
Married dad-of-three Mr Stening, who lives in a £2million home in Windlesham, Surrey, was investigated for eight months following her claims. He was not charged but accepted a caution. She appealed against a decision not to prosecute him for sexual offences due to a lack of evidence but the ruling was upheld.
