Samsung Gear S3 Smartwatch

SAMSUNG is hard at work on a follow-up to its Gear S2 smartwatch – dubbed Gear S3 – which is expected to launch at the IFA 2016 tradeshow in Berlin at the beginning of September. SAMSUNG Samsung is expected to unveil a follow-up to its brilliant Gear S2 at IFA in Berlin Samsung is believed to be hard at work on an update to its Gear S2 smartwatch. The next-generation smartwatch will be unveiled at the IFA 2016 tradeshow in Berlin – exactly one year after the Gear S2 was announced at the show, according to a new report from SamMobile. With the Galaxy Note 7 confirmed for the firm's Galaxy Unpacked event on August 2, it would make sense for the smartwatch to launch one month later. Last year, Samsung unveiled at teaser trailer for the Gear smartwatch at the end of its Galaxy Note launch event – fingers crossed we get the same sneak peek tomorrow! Gear S3 is expected to keep its predecessors' round face and rotating bezel.Samsung Gear S2 could add iPhone compatibility 'within... Spinning the bezel around the 1.2inch circular display on the Gear S2 is used to zoom, scroll and navigate around the watch's operating system. The Gear S2 also packed two physical buttons – a Back and Home button – on the right hand-side of the device, when worn on the left wrist. With Samsung requiring that third-party developers create specific apps to work on Tizen – the Android-based operating system developed internally by Samsung for its Gear watches – it seems unlikely the Gear S3 will include any dramatic changes to how the watch operates. After all, that could ruffle the feathers of those few developers who embraced the new operating system over Google's own, more widely-available Android Wear. Like the Gear S2, it seems very likely Samsung is planning multiple models for the Gear S3.
